What We Do...
Highlands Elementary PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) is here to provide your student(s) with an enriched experience both within the school and out in our community. We create events with the help of local businesses, corporate sponsors, teachers, administrators, and parents/guardians. The PTO is made up of parent/guardian volunteers and we welcome all of the help we can get. Contact us to get involved.

Our Mission
The mission of the Highlands PTO is to seek and implement resources, both personal and financial, to assist and improve the areas of communication, academic achievement, volunteerism, and the unity of school and community for the benefit of every child at Highlands Elementary School in Erie, CO

PTO Meetings
Join us! All parents and guardians are welcome. Meet the Board and learn about upcoming events and how you can get involved at our monthly PTO meetings on the second Monday of the month in the library at Highlands Elementary at 7 pm. Click on Upcoming Events for details.
Fundraising
Our programs are funded by the PTO. We have fundraising events and make it easy for businesses to sponsor our PTO. Click the fundraising button above to learn more how to donate or help raise money.
Committee Volunteers
It takes a "village" to create a strong PTO with exceptional community and student events. We have committees for each event and welcome your involvement. Click the Get Involved Button to lead or join a committee.

Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week
Surf the wave of appreciation and infuse our school with a tropical paradise for our teachers and staff! Engage in a week of delightful activities to honor our teachers and staff from May 6-10:

Monday: Ride the wave of thanks with personalized postcards for our educators.

Tuesday: Blossom with thanks by gifting flowers to brighten up our staff’s day.

Wednesday: Uncover joy with a lotto scratch ticket surprise.

Thursday: Share the happiness with your teacher’s favorite snack.

Friday: Mirror the professionalism of our staff with a dress-up day and high-five exchanges.
Room parents will clue you in on teachers’ favorites for that personal touch. Remember, every gesture counts—let’s make our school a paradise of thankfulness!
